Hunter for a Day

Whats more challenging than being in combat with your laziness? Due to my current change of Lifestyle aka going to the gym to get fit everyday, my body clock has been changed. I don't get to wake up earlier than 7:00 am when my work time starts at 7:30. The only thing that keeps me going is styling my everyday wear. There are days when I like what I wear, there are days when I don't. Yesterday, My styling inspiration was tribal mountaineer. I went all black but had a beige H&M shirt with utility pockets as cover up. I took off the fringes from my dessert boots. My bone pin is from OS accessories

Right after work I headed to the Egg Roadshow in Skye, The Fort. I kinda felt under dressed as people were in their smart casual ensembles. I looked like Kuya Kim among the crowd of Manila's Top Executives. Yikes! But Deadma!

Layers and Fringes

I was in love with the fringes and beads of this shoes I bought recently. It kind of reminded me of my indie days when I loved wearing plaids, demin shorts and beads laying on the grass fields of UPLB.  For my OOTD yesterday, I put on layers of different accessories, tops and a jacket. This was the end result, Harajuku style!

Imagine the stares of the discreet gay community on me whenever I visit the gym. It hilarious how these gay men try to be soooo discreet but once they open their mouths, screaming faggots come out!

Turning Japanese

I was fully booked last Friday with a shoot with Meg Magazine in the morning and a meeting with Media Nation after lunch. Luckily, both venues were building apart in Ortigas Center. Given this scenario, I decided to wear something comfortable and went with short pants, vest and mandals. My vest is Alexander Wang I have worn previously in Philippine Fashion Week FW '12. My mandals were bought in a thrift shop in Makati Cinema Square for 300Php.  It was so comfortable I was able to run from one building to another.

Undershirt : Bench
Vest : Alexander Wang
Shorts : Thrifted
Belt : Bench Human
Shoes : Mandals Thrifted
Bag : Memo
Small Bag : H&M
Cuff : Asos

My afternoon meeting was an interesting discussion with no other than Mr Marlon Rivera who immediately noticed my Vest above everything. He discussed about Brand building and strategies with possible application with our brand. I am looking forward to see them again and exchange views and opinion.

Camouflage = 2013

My very first Streetwear entry to my blog this year. It actually feels like the first time though I have been doing this for quite a while. Somehow, I was able to buy myself sometime to strike a pose and upload. 2013 posts new challenges, responsibilities and of course TRENDS. I picked the military theme as its very casual and itself is a statement. It complements my white polo shirt and black shorts combination paired with my white mandals. I added a bone pin I recently purchased from OS Accessories Holiday Sale to add texture on polo shirt.

 Polo Shirt : Mundo
Short Pants : Bench x M Baretto
Jacket : Camouflage Thrifted
Foortwear : Mandals Thrifted
Accessories : OS Accessories

I was able to ran around the city in this ensemble though a lot of people have stared at me from head to toe.

First Try

I recently purchased a book entitled Fashion Illustration Now by Laird Borrelli and was motivated to draw again. In the days, fashion illustration was regarded as high art and has graced the covers of all fashion magazines.
My attempt was more than a colored sketch of an AdR x H&M sunglasses using Paper53 on IPad. They say big things come from small beginnings. ;)

It's been a while Bitches!

Yes, 5 months is a long time. This happens all the time. Whenever I have a new job or just busy with something I tend to forget about this blog. However this blog is my outlet. A medium to express myself, my art if society accepts it, my blabs about the world, my aspiration and material wants. What do I wana change next year about this blog? It will be more personal and realistic. Somehow I have used this blog to emulate the ideal lifestyle I want, not the real lifestyle I have.

To keep you updated of whatabouts, I'm listing down the highlights of my 5-month hiatus.

1. My Blonde Hair. Though I have dyed it again in black, it had been a very drastic change that shocked a lot people and somehow have become my personal aesthetic specially for people who I recently met. They all wanted me to dye again my hair.

2. My New Job. If you're a Dept Store Shopper I'm pretty sure you are familiar with the Brands, FUBU, Crissa, Ego etc. These are the brands I'm currently handling. A challenging career move but getting the hang of it everyday.

3. My small part in I am Meg TV show. Our brand has been featured on the show and I did a s,all talk about the brand and its current F/W Collection. Here are some shots from the show

4. Instagram as my OOTD outlet. My recent addiction is instagramin my day to day ensemble like I use to.

The Dark Knight Rises

Blockbuster movies are best when you get to see it on its first day of screening and The Dark Knight Rises is no exception. Both past two films were highly regarded specially Heath Ledger's unparalleled portrayal of "The Joker." This last film of the franchise was 2 hours and 44 minutes long. Enough to make room for movie critics to blab. So here's my take on it.
1. I hate Anne Hathaway straight hair. She looks more like a collegiala with futuristic headband than a Catwoman   .
2. Christian Bale looks a little old and less hot compared to the previous films.
3. Gotham City looks more NYC.
4. Explosions are bigger in scale but we have blown up cities and countries in other Dooms Day movies.
5. Too theatrical. Too PBB Teens
6. A lot of Cameos.
7. Blane's a blabber. He was blabbing for most parts of the movie.
8. Disappointed as I have not seen the plot coming. :)

Thanks to my friends in Manila Bulletin for inviting me. They handed over hotdog sandwiches, popcorns, sodas, C2s and magazines to all who attended. It was a fun treat!

Pink Friday Tour Manila

I'm not a fan of Nicki Minaj but of her songs, well just some. Thanks to Globe and my Friend Chen who gave me the ticket, I got a free pass to Pink Friday. I paid homage to Nicki Minaj ensemble when she performed in the H&M x Versace launch last year. It's the only thing I own that is close to her fashion aesthetic.
Me in my Versace top, blue shorts, and Y-3 sneakers

SM Arena crowd was a sea of pink. I only notice a few Barbz dressed for the tour. Unlike Born This Way Ball most people were just dressed to the nines. We were seated at the left side of the upper box area, enough to see her as an 2-inch-doll. She started the show with a few song unfamiliar but the crowds energy got the vibe going. I would say her outfits were not as outrageous as the ones she sports during events in Hollywood. A lot pink ensembles, blonde wigs and printed leggings.

There were moments I was singing along with her. There are some I was completely clueless with the songs.

This is me and my friend Ariane munching on some barbeque flavored fries

After the show we went to The Collective to fill our hungry tummies.

Here's a video I took using my mobile phone.

Thinking my day through

 Top: Divi
Pants: Divi
Shoes: Doc Martens
Clutch: H&M
Pin: Topman
Our meeting was cancelled and instead, we took photos of jewelries impromptu. Nothing seems to go right today. Plus I kinda felt that I have been doing a lot of things lately that are totally out of my league. I developed a brand from packaging to merchandise and store designs, website designs for multiple brands and styling on the sides. It got me thinking what If I can convert these extra-curricular stuffs into moneymaker. What if I start a consulting firm or something? Wild idea I know!
Anyway, the pictures above are too unflattering. I really am BIG! I need to hit the gym soon. God help me!

Mustard Monday

I was a bit hesitant with the color mustard but finally gave in

 Top:Divi Shirt
Pants: Divi pants
Belt: Hermes
Shoes: CMG shoes
Purse: Thrifted

I gained weight and now one size bigger. I needed a new pair of pants. Instead of heading to the mall, I went to Divisoria with an ample amount of cash. Look at what I got! Those pants are medium size but it fits me well! Maybe it's just me or wrong size tagging.
I bought some shirts and some fabric for my home improvement project too.
